this sounds really special!
I dont know if that old school bass is a right choice, because it's really there, it makes you concentrate on it. that gives the track a bit "outdated" feel.
but I have to say the melodic layers sound absolutely mint. on the otherhand, the piano chords; they sound real, but not realistic..
You can achieve this by not placing all the notes directly on the beat, just slightly over or before, adjusting velocity etc.
the lead sounds hypnotizing! I like it! melody is easily memorable too!
great job on this, a little bit short though.
I seem to miss some prominent percussion, signature percussion that makes this track an "individual". but thats just my style I guess :) |
