Cafepress.com Experience

I wanted to mention to you guys a short story about Cafepress.com. The website, for those of you who don't know, sells millions of customized gifts (e.g. t-shirts, mugs, and so on). Anyways, in a few words: I ordered a t-shirt in a certain size, it arrived in a few weeks (b/c it came from the States), I was unhappy with the size and, so, I contacted customer service; within about an hour I received an e-mail reply informing me that a brand new t-shirt sized one size larger than the one I had received had been ordered and set to ship out ASAP. So what you say? The service representative told me that Cafepress.com wanted me to be completely satisfied with each purchase I make and, so, as a way of saying thank you for shopping with them they indicated that I could keep the first t-shirt. Without a doubt some of you will reply 'Cafepress simply didn't want to have to deal with having an item returned to them' and/or 'Cafepress would be unable to re-sell an item that had already been shipped' but I'd rather embrace the more positive interpretation, i.e., that an unnecessary and kind gesture was offered to me by this company.
Moral of the story: my first experience with Cafepress.com was quite pleasant and I recommend it to anybody who is looking for a unique or customized gift (e.g. a political (politicized?) t-shirt). |

Cafe Press used to be amazing quality but they dropped down to lower brand quality after they became more popular and were looking for higher return revenue.
It's a good service though, just not as high quality as it once was. |

Yeah I agree. The cotton they use in their t-shirts is too harsh. I love the really soft cotton t-shirts. Those are so nice to wear. Mexx has wicked t-shirts. BTW, would you happen to know of a site like Cafepress that uses better t-shirt brands? I've thought of ordering funny t-shirts from teh Intranets a few times, but ever since I was sold on the soft cotton, I refuse to go back, lol. |

I've always wondered as to how much duty do you get charged by the canadian customs when you get something shipped from the states? (never got anything shipped from across the border to date)
So let's say a t-shirt from cafepress that costs $25...what's the import duty like? |

Well my t-shirt cost $20.99 + tax + shipping = $27.00 |
