They're gonna be around $750. I doubt folks will view this as a dj performance tool; rather, more like a toy that you can use to try stuff out when you're travelling or sitting on the crapper and such.

Well.. think of it this way... the ipod touch 32gb is out for $500 dollars. This is 120gb? Dont get me wrong... these things aren't going to go mainstream... but I definately think there will be enough of a niche market between audio/hardware geeks to at least get this going.

Depends. A lot of the time people get the temptation is to abuse the sh*t out of them, which is why they get a bad rep. That isn't to say that effects can't be used sparingly and gracefully to compliment what you're playing.
