On another note, is the snow DONE?? Driving up tomorrow afternoon and its scaring some of the people coming with me......already have one who backed out because of needing to be back here 100% after the weekend is over. :(

the major roads like the highways and interstates will be fine. they're already plowed. it's the small ass neighbourhood roads that won't be plowed till late friday/early sat.

so there's no reason to be scared.

I hate Ryerson too. If they had closed I would have had a ride to work :'( Now I don't know what I'm going to do bus-wise. Probably freeze my ass off for 40 mins while waiting for the invariably late YRT. :whip:

P.S. Over here (border of RH and OakRidges) most of our neighbours couldn't get out of their driveways. There's still about 15-ish cars on this street stuck in the snow hehehe.

yeah I remember that area
my ex-bf lives there and commuting from Seneca was hell
he took like 2 go buses to get home

They arent plowing non-through streets in Collingwood. Only main streets and more significant through streets to get around town.

Cul-du-sacs, cresants, courts, lanes, etc (ie. ANYTHING not a actual through 'street' or 'road') are snowed in!

Directly in front of my house is Crista Court, which of course hasnt been plowed (first time in many, many year I've ever seen them pick and chose which in-town roads will get done!) That, combined w/ the fact that our road is,and thus has further badly blocked the entrance/exit to Crista Court with snow!

While shoveling my driveway just after 9, saw to vehicles get stuck in it! HAHAH

1 minivan, and an SUV.

Lucky there were some good neighbours who were out shoveling who came and bailed these ppl. 2 "dads" (seperate houses) and 3 little kids and 1 dog, lol.

Took like 10 mins! :disbelief

And, yes, I didnt help, just continued working on my driveway. Id already been out there 40+ mins, and there was still lots to do before I got it done ans able to run back in quickly to re-shower and finally make it into work! ;)

My roommate/landlord was a hero today.

He went to his work and borrowed a plow and did our double driveway in about 5 minutes (not the greatest plow operator, haha)

Me: Dave, you're my hero!
Dave: I'm my own hero, Chris.

I wish my friend didn't have my snowboarding pants! I have a really HUGE sloping backyard, and the maintenance man is here plowing all the snow from the driveway into it right now. There's gotta be at least 5-6 feet of snow piled up back there.

I want to jump in it. I want to build a fort!
