On the bright side, "electro" sounds seems to finally -- finally -- be on the downhill.

i hope not. if he made a new electro tune why would he not release it under quivver. i just hope it has a really spacey feel.

The Space Manoeuvres project turns in Part 8 of its deep space progressive mission. John "Quivver" Graham is a master of the genre and as usual he doesn't disapoint. Deep progressive beats, moody and spacey keys and the odd intergalactic sample thrown in for good measure. Rising Canadian star Toby Emerson delievers a melodic progressive re-rub on the flip complete with oscilating riffs and melodic chordal movements. UK based Tech - Proggers D Dub fresh from their hit on the Northern Exposure label Phoenix - "Rise Up" complete the package with some deep tech prog beats.

1) Octobot (Original)

2) Octobot (Toby Emerson Cohagen Remix)

3) Octobot (D Dub Alpha Mix)

RELEASE DATE

18 February 2008

Original does have the same vibe that the OID tracks had. Just wondering if this is new, or something Graham dug up from his archive?

like the Original and the Toby Emerson Cohagen Remix

Original Mix is quite nice.
Cobalt
Agreed, the original is pretty good. I'm happy to hear it join the trend of stripped-down melody, rather than looking backward to electrotoss (like the Cohagen mix) or minimal (like the D Dub Alpha). The progressive flair keeps it firmly in the Space Manoeuvres brand.

Good question. I could see either, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were an old cut.

Not a patch on Quivver's new single 'Surin'.

You wouldn't happen to have any samples of that which we can hear, would you? :)
