So...what to say...I am experiencing a loooong writer's block and...I started digging through folders with older tracks to maybe get some inspiration or something...then I found this one and because the contest is already over, the winner is known and so on...I decided to free it for you. Listen, play it out...or whatever you like...you may even bash it :p
G-Con
Thanks for this mate.

Really enjioyed it. Not overly keen on the vocals but the groove of the track is great. Really keeps you dancing.

Actually I don't mind the vocals that are repeated towards the end. They sound good. But I found the ones at the start too chessy for my taste.

Good listen though and it will definately go on my ipod current playlist

:D

you're welcome, man. I am honoured you find it good enough to go on your ipod :) have fun.

yeah you can remember the sample...now it's full version for anyone to enjoy...

I never got any kind of results :-( don't know jack :-/
strange, because most of the remix contests usually publish the results...oh..whatever :)

Hey BOOsTER! As G-Con said, the groove is great! Just would prefer it without vocals, I think. Well done, however and thanks for sharing!

Takere! ;)

Very good job on this. Nice and crisp.

Are the vocals going through some kind of filter or extreme EQ? They sound odd to me.
BOOsTER
Akia: hehe yeah me too, just some parts I used were mixed down with vocals, so there's no chance for a "dub" version or something similar.

MrJiveBoJingles: Thanks mate. The vocals are going through an LFO with a slight low pass. Which I think made them sound more interesting :). Sorry to hear you find that odd :) ... but thanks anyway

thanks all :)

I love the breakbeat at the start, its pretty slick. I also really think the panning helps the mix a lot. The stuttered vocals appeal to me, but I like that sort of thing. I'm not keen on the main vocals (not a fan of her voice really...), and I think the break that comes after feels clumsy, I'd say its a mixing thing not a problem with the drums themselves.
I'm also not really a fan of the drum rolls in most cases, but thats probably personal taste.
I AM a fan of the saw bass and the stabs you've got going as well as all the atmospheric sounds. I think that they're really well mixed on the whole.
The vocals just sound a bit too dry as well, but overall its pretty close to being the sort of thing you'd hear in the top 40 dance charts, the mix could just use a little touching up;)
Keep it up:D

Thanks kitphillips,
my idea was to make it suitable for somehow half-mainstream dancefloor, but still to stay true to my type of sound.

Yeah, breaks, buildups and arranging overall are my biggest weakness :( you seem to have hit a nail here!
Thanks for the kind words, though!

funny fact...this track got widespread on torrents lol :eyes:
