HOW COOL IS THIS?!?!?!?!
http://www.videogameslive.com/index.php?s=home
The opening bars of the classic Super Mario Bros. get the symphonic treatment that a Beethoven's Ninth would at Video Games Live.
The music from some of the most popular video games will be performed by live orchestras, choirs and soloists. The theme music behind Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft games are performed as a classical masterpiece would, but will be accompanied by special effects and synchronized lighting.
The show is produced by video game music composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall, and will also feature interactive segments and exclusive video footage. |

Great idea.
However, I'd love to see more inclusion of arcade classics + games from the Commodore 64 (Sid chip anyone?) which had the best sounding music of the time.
For the old timers/C64 enthusiasts, some guy in MD last week claims Trance was 'invented' on the C64... lol |
