hey jordy, how long of a train ride is it from A'dam to Den Haag? I'm supposed to go visit someone there on Thursday. |

You have no idea :D You'll be walking ,turn a corner and next thing your asking is "where the hell is ... and where the @#*& am I? " all this while reading a map no less :crazy:
Get a good map asap!
To be honest, getting lost is kinda fun:) another thing thats cool is walking and hearing 3 or 4 different languages. |

yea i dont doubt it at all...im just gunna get a map..and wander around the red light district, shopping district and a few other places...i dont need to be taking a train an hour and a half away....ill never make it back |

Shopping street is called -
"Nieuwendijk" which will change to "Kalverstraat"

| Well since it looks like you still can't buy tickets for Tiesto if you're outside the US I guess you can count me and my boyfriend in for this meet-up too :) Then we'll be there for the TA meet-up on Saturday and off to TE!! Ahh only 9 days until I leave! I'm soooo excited!!! :D |

Mostly likely my friend and I will come to the meetup on Friday :)
Two Holland trips ago my friend took a pic of the Amsterdam map with his digital camera and we haven't needed a regular map since! It's great because you can zoom in to certain areas with the cam and you don't look like a lost tourist :D If the camera is small enough it just looks like you're doing something with your cell phone.
The shopping street that starts from the Dam Square and goes Northeast is awesome! It's one of those very narrow streets that are meant only for pedestrians, and it has all kinds of stores. We do most of our shopping on that street everytime we visit Amsterdam. |
