yes you can but its pointless. tokens dont save you any money. just use a dollar bill and two quarters for the bus. its much easier.

in all the years ive used the buses in miami i have NEVER used a token.

probably not so much...i had to throw some dumb drunk bitches into a cab on my back to my hotel last year b/c they were dressed like hookers and wondered why homeless people were following them up the street...and I'M A GIRL...WMC isn't about dressing like a ho to get noticed, be safe and stick together...and don't get so trashed that none of you realize where you are and can't get back safely.

I'm starting to plan out my bus routes and it turns out we'll be catching a few cabs mainly due to time of night. I'm not sure how easy it is to find cabs in Miami so I found these numbers just in case:

Central Cabs
(305) 532-5555
Crown Taxis
(305) 445-5555
Flamingo Taxis
(305) 599-9999
Miami-Dade Taxis
(305) 551-1111
Sunshine Cabs
(305) 445-3333
Super Yellow Cabs
(305) 888-7777
Yellow Cabs
(305) 444-4444

walk into the street at any given time on any given day on south beach or anywhere near the clubs downtown and you'll have no need for numbers. the cabs are everywhere. try to meet up with other people heading the same direction as you to save some cash.

I took the bus everywhere in 2006 & it was fine. The greatest is when I was stuck in traffic going to ULTRA along with everyone else--except for I didn't have a ticking taxi meter fare.

The bus is almost as quick as a taxi going from South Beach to Space as most of the trip is over the causeway with no stops.

Nice Info, thanks a lot!

This is great! Thank you!

What's up with the metro rail? Does it go near Ultra? I'm thinking about coming in from the airport by Tri-rail, then metro.

take metrorail (southbound direction if you are coming from tri-rail) and get off at government center. then get on the Omni Loop of the Metro Mover. get off at Eleventh Street station. ;)

I'm gonna be taking the buses all week from central Miami to SOBE. I think i'll just be bringing spiked cokes and a book to pass the hour that it will take to reach my destination :)
