First, you need to elaborate a bit. What software are you using? Sounds like you're putting the wav into a sampler. What you're experiencing is common, but the solution requires knowing what you're using. |

in FL from the browser i drag and drop "VEC2 synths Histring 04 G" from vengeance sound pack into the step sequencer - it is a string, like the one in brainbug - nightmare. it lasts 4 beats/one bar at 140bpm. so i can lay it once at the start of every bar, for a continuous string, but as i go up to a higher note (in piano roll) it finshes quicker/lasts shorter, as it plays faster. hence it doesnt last a full bar anymore and there is a gap at the end from one bar, to another.
i am looking for a way time-stretch (if thats whats its called) the .wav so it fits completely. id also like to be able to shorten the note length so it only lasts a single beat.
it would be ok if it was a real synthesizer, it would fit itself. but it is a pre-recorded wav.
any ideas? |
