hey there!
i'm a part time in the closet trance fan. due to my involvement and affiliations with dnb and dubstep, i must keep my mouth shut about my love for trance unless i want to be clowned by my associates. buncha haters, really.
anyhow, i haven't and don't typically keep up with trance, but i do know what i like as far as producers go. i'm looking to hear some trance done up in the past year and up to recently to hear some great new sounds. can anyone help me out?
here is a quick list of some of my fav trance tunes to give you an idea of what i'm into and what i'm trying to hear an updated version of:
markus schulz pres. elevation - largo
leama - requiem for a dream
dirty fours - breathless
stephane k - numb (original eclipse mix)
vibrasphere - floating free
o.c. - illusions
allure - the love we lost (tilt remix)
andrew bennet - menar (original mix)
some new and old ones in there. obviously i have a thing for stuff that gets released from the armada camp. :) are gabriel and dresden still fantastic?
if any one could could link me to some mixes (preferably with tracklistings) that would seem to go along with the style of trance i like, it would be definitely appreciated. also, any suggestions for producers/labels to keep an ear to would also be awesome.
ps - in dnb, we classify subgenres within the genre, ie - neurofunk, techstep, jumpup, liquid, ect. the tunes i listed all generally have a certain sound that they all share in common. i would like to be able to explain to people what type of trance i listen to specifically without dropping a bunch of producer names. can anyone help me out with that? |
