My birthday is coming up and I'm looking into this bad boy. It just recently became available in the States non-import. Those of you that have it, how do you like it? Is it really worth the price? Also, does it work well with a Mac?

Thanks guys,

MTM

ok well i got one thinking wow, this is the sh*t...

GPS, takes forever to load, once i started the GPS when i was @ home and it just loaded when i got to my destination which was about 15 minutes away (it was when i had it new and was testing it out). The maps arent that great... not very detailed.. you can download em free of nokia website.

MP3 player is pretty swish, the dual sliding face is pretty neat feature, and you can install any size memory card you like. Has 1GB built in i think, but i rarely use it for portable audio but if thats your think then go for it, comes with neat headphones which have a remote control on the cord.

5 Megapixel camera, sure its 5 Megapixels but u just dont get the quality you do with a regular camera. lighting is an issue however the high res video in good lighting is actually quite good.

overall out of all the phones out there its probably the best one, lots of features and you can install lots of stuff on it from what i hear, I havent gotten round to doing any of that. I probably only use like 2 - 3 features of it. I used the wifi on my wireless network @ home but i never got the whole surfing the internet on a 2" screen, just seems pointless use a computer. There is some sort of barcode scanner in it too which i have never been able to work.

there is a new 8GB model out too, comes with 8GB built in memory, but i dont think it has the option of installing a memory card.

I hope some of that helps mate, if you have any questions dont hesitate to PM me. ;)

I was given one. I like it but I certainly would never pay for one.

Why is it so hard for you to grasp the idea of a hand held device that does a lot more than just make phone calls?

He wasn't kidding. It uses a new G4 mhz band.

Price isn't an issue, but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews of the N95 online. Worst of all, a lot of them say it physically feels cheap. I guess I'm gonna hold off. For all its faults, it's hard to resist the IPhone, but I wanna wait for the 3G version.

The 8 GB version looks much better and has a bigger screen, didn't appear cheap to me at all.

For the cost it's going for...?

Cheap feel, indeed.
