Tribute To Twin Peaks
Here's a little tribute mix, inspired by the sheer breathtaking soundtrack that accompanied this masterpiece of TV history. Genre is not really definable (everything from dreampop, classical, trip hop, minimal, jazz), just a bunch of songs I felt like throwing in to create a mood, really freely associated but in a certain order which I hope I was able to convey. Obviously people who're familiar with the show can relate much more to the songs and samples, but notwithstanding it's beautiful music for itself, too. Enjoy!
Twin Peaks tapes of Agent Dale Cooper - # 31
Angelo Badalamenti - Laura Palmer's Theme
Clint Mansell - Holy Dread!
Angelo Badalamenti - The Pink Room
Fantomas - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Theme
Dale Cooper's Dream
Gabriel Ananda - Lauschgoldengel
deadmau5 - Lai
Sweet N Candy - Tackywakeup (Dominik Eulberg mix)
James Holden - Idiot Clapsolo
UNKLE - I Need Something Stronger
Goldfrapp - Utopia
The Field - Kappsta 2
Julee Cruise - Rockin Back Inside My Heart
Angelo Badalamenti - Twin Peaks Theme
Twin Peaks tapes of Agent Dale Cooper - # 40 (Dance Of The Dream Man)

| thanks, obviously the mixing is not sasha-esque, then again I never claimed to be the pioneer of beatmatching, just wanted to combine a bunch of moody tracks in a harmonious way; classical-jazzy introduction, then dark "minimal" (black lodge soundtrack if you will), and finally an optmistic female-vocal-driven outro. Next stop: LOST! |
