Had a small search but couldn't find anything.

Just wondering what the original Pink Floyd song is that "Sadistick" sampled for it's original?

Cheers

What bit exactly was sampled?

SJK used the vocals from a Pink Floyd song for his original 2004 bootleg.
I have Pulse and Dark Side of the Moon and i am pretty sure the tune isn't on these albums, but it has been a while since i listened to them. (at work atm)

I don't think he got clearance so he got Tony McGuinness from Above & Beyond to redo the vocals, which were an adaptation of the Pink Floyd song.

I just checked it out on beatport and it doesn't sound like any pink floyd song I've ever heard, and I've pretty much heard them all. If it's a floyd song is heavily modified.

The vocals are almost a recreation of it, but the lyrics aren't the same.
I have heard the Pink floyd tune once and it was a small sample but i just can't remember it.

If the lyrics are different then how is it sampled?

Well I've done it! I've found out the original track that inspired 'Sadistik'...

Way back in 2003 when A&B did their guestmix on Armin's radio show and played the original version of 'Sadistik', the original vocals were taken straight from a Pink Floyd track. Obviously they couldn't release it like this without permission, and I think obtaining permission from said band would be a long process, so Stephen J Kroos & Tony McGuinness have changed the lyrics completely, so while they still sound similar, they aren't the same words. That's what was holding me back finding the original track, but now I've got it (well, them).

They come from Pink Floyd's 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' album, and are titled 'A New Machine (part 1) & (part 2)'. Even though they're essentially just acapellas, it's quite cool to listen and compare to Sadistik. Also, congrats to whoever re-wrote the lyrics (Tony I assume), I think they sound much better now!

This may not interest many people but I thought some might appreciate this.

No wonder I always thought it sounded familiar somehow.

This is one of the reasons why Pink Floyd will never die.
