hey everyone !!!

i know some of you guys might not like me much or think im strange, BUT ! i still wanna share this with you guys!!! im so proud of it. well it comes with a story so check this out.

so there i was getting a lesson in latin american history about ' che ' gueveraa. the name of the movie was ' motor cycle diaries. ' so i really really liked the movie. then i started watching it over and over again and i started to like the main theme. so i rip the song off the movie and then i try to learn the keys... man that was a bitch. a couple days later im in chicago and Lizandro Rodriguez(system 9) finds the original and the artist name (Gustavo Santaolalla - De usuahia a la quiaca)

so i was like fkn siiick ! so the plan was for me and lizandro to sit down and remix the song. so one saturday i spend my entire day trying to figure out the notes to this song and i came across it, some one told me the notes but it was in spanish so i translated the notes into english (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do) through wikipedia and then i keep listeining to the song and the more i find out the more confused i get abt things. in the original piece gustavo uses a south american guitar like instrument called " EL Charango " and it has a certain note inclination(c5?) and it has 5 strings opposed to the traditional (spanish) guitar which has 6.

SO ! i get the right keys practice the song over and over again and then i lay it all down on a synquencer and then i run A MILLION FILTERS THROUGH A SQUARE WAVE SOUND and all this stuff.

i wasnt happy abt n e bass lines i had in my racks on ableton so my cheap ass goes off and rips one of a song i had which i liked (dont hate. btw you would nvr guess the line n e ways) put a mild saturator on it and ran it added some cheap yet effective paterns and snare and the rest you can hear.

VOILA !! i had em all in a loop and i was doing a live preformance in my room with my korg !!!!! and then after all the redbull and cranberry juice settled down i started to layer out the tracks and this is it. im half way done !!

after layering em im gonna add some sweeps rvrse hats for markerrs n all that hot stuff.

CHECK IT !

BTW Lizandro R is still adding his touch to this so its still going to be a me and him collab.
gimme some hate and love, criticism or not.
take a listen please!

just gave it a listen

sounds too old school game music to me.
like i'm about to go in and kill Kuppa

yeah...I watched the Motorcycle Diaries a long time ago
and i remember some of the music of it.
and yeah...this doesn't sound like it.
are you sure you did the melody right?
you know, it's not just about playing the right keys per se.

don't mind me though, the last song EDM related that i liked was
Ian Pooley ft Esthero - Better Life

i hear u wit that old school sounds. i was aiming for that but the whole kill kupa part !?> hahah. i appreciate your honesty.

btw im 100% sure thats the melody (BEBC) for the arppegio. i took hte arpeggio and like i mentioned earlier ran it through acouple filters and developed that bass tone. but the arpegio of the original is there, it just sounds different because of the tune of the original song. that and its played on a CHARANGO.

the final part was to add the main melody which is pretty complex but im still working on it. i mean i have it but i just cant find a right sound to bring it in with.

the main melody is what is going to make that shine... dont forget that wooden flute idk what it called.

I like the melody on this piece, essentially because you get a good vibe out of it. The keys and ESPECIALLY the high hats here are definitely an A+

;)
