The King Eddy is a relic of Toronto. It is supposed to appear older and "majestic". The service and ambience makes it worth every penny.
Stay @ the Westin if you want a generic hotel room. |
relic is right.
there's a difference between "older and majestic" and weathered and worn. |

"A model of graceful Canadian elegance, Le Méridien King Edward has hosted visitors to Toronto for over 100 years. Nestled in the financial district in the heart of the city, the hotel upholds its commitment to traditional hospitality with sleek modern sensibility. The 298 spacious guest rooms and suites boast old-world, turn of the century charm combined with sophisticated comforts: exquisitely comfortable beds, elegant décor in homage to a proud history, and luxurious bathrooms featuring powerful showers and soothing bath facilities."
Taken directly from the website. It's supposed to embody 100 years of history...in every sense.
Trunks, stay there. Totally worth it. |

www.craigslist.com they always have some deal on Leafs and Raptors tickets same day for a lil cheaper, and you can always haggle with them.
As for Chinese food in Chinatown, my fav place is Sang Ho Seafood a lil West of Dundas and Spadina... there's another place a lil south (Really close to BoA/Sonic entrance and Pho 88) that has really good BBQ stuff... And there's a place on Dundas and Bathurst that has really good vegetarian food (this coming from a big meat lover :D) called Buddha's Vegetarian food |

| Swatow on Spadina is great to. I've only been a couple of times myself, but I know many people that won't go anywhere else |

Chinatown: E-Pan (Address: 369 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, ON | Phone: 416-260-9988)
E-Pan is one of the best restaurants on the strip. CLEAN, NEW interior (including bathrooms) and easily some of the best food I've had.
Near King Edward (within 2 blocks): Beer Bistro (King West @ Victoria), Tom Jones (great steak, better than Barbarian), P J O Brien Irish Pub (Victoria @ Colborne), Terroni (Italian, Victoria North of King). |

Does MK work for the hotel?
I don't get why a few negative comments are being taken so seriously; maybe I'm missing something! |
