Amazed no one mentioned Daft Punk being on the Grammy's tonight... (pg. 2)

I wish they showed more of their suits, or gave them more camera time than what they got. I like how they showed their stuff in the pryamid tho.

Seeing them at the Grammy’s was awesome tho. I like how they paused and let the pyramid open.

I didn’t care to see Kanye tho. I also don’t remembering them mention his performance with him, just that it was Kanye coming next.

well keep in mind this is HIS song. it wasnt Daft Punk with a special appearance by Kanye West. This was Kanye performing "Stronger"

I was at the Grammys and it was cool to see DP and KW live. It wasn't really about these specific artists why I liked it (don't like Kanye at all) but more about this kind of collaberation in general which I haven't seen before.

But I definitely liked the Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban duet way more :happy2:

P.S. For the Cyndi Lauper fans: Her performance at the afterparty was quite interesting....Some of her diva fits included stopping the music in the middle of two different songs, yelling at the sound techs and her own band mates and bashing the audience....:nervous:

Oh but I already did post about this on the East Coast forum:
When I saw the pyramid I dropped my jaw & I was like no way!

And then I saw the background lights and I was like could it be!

Then when the pyramid opened I started screaming out of joy!
Brought back SO many good memories! (Saw them 3 times in concert!)

Oh and when they were wearing their orange LED suits that they wore at their encores on their US tour, I was so happy!

Omg when they showed inside the booth I was so incredibly happy!

I met the woman who designed those LED suits at the Daft Punk after party in LA this summer so that brought back those cool memories.

This totally made the grammys!

That does not look like the gear Daft Punk actually used on their tour in there by a ing long shot, was that even them?

I dont understand the hype around this collaboration. The principal around being mixed up with such a poorly behaved piece of like Kayne speaks very poorly for essence of electronic music. Then again, since Daft Punk centers around commercial pop music anyway maybe they deserve to stand next to piled that high.

I just never really "got" the whole Daft Punk thing. Then again I never really "got" the importance of the grammy's either.

Probably just me? ;)

I'm sure bringing their entire setup for a 2 minute gig would be a HUGE waste of resources. Loading the clips into a Lemur is much MUCH easier :p

such an awful awful track....

Oh wow, that's too bad. That night was absolutely electric.

After the coachella performance, much has changed for them though. I would even go as far to state it was the pinnacle of my enjoyment of their music, and I was a fan since Around the World was a single.

To each his own I guess.

I thought that was not daft punk at the grammys at first either. Even the way they behaved on the stage did not seem very much like them for some reason. They sent it out in their newsletter though, so I guess it has to be.

And we all know nobody is allowed to lie in a newsletter...especially on the internet. If they did, they would be subject to all sorts of congressional queries and what not.
