OK, so I was in LAX waiting for my flight to Frankfurt earlier today (I'm in the Army, getting stationed in Germany) and I see none other than Paul Van Dyk walk up to my gate, complete with entourage and record bag towing guy. I went to try and talk to him a bit when he didn't look too busy, but he just said "hi" and turned away, then rushed on the plane.

I can imagine he didn't want all the attention or whatever, but I was hoping at least for a chance to talk to him a little (if not a photo op :D ). Oh well.

Still cool though. What are the chances of that happening?

yeah i got to meet paul once after a show.. he was about to head out the back door and i called his name and the bodyguards started pushing me away and paul turned around and said "woah woah woah.."and he came over and said hi to me and my bf of the time and took pictures with us and i thanked him for a great show.. he was really relaxed about it.. he even showed up to the afterparty.

And how many years ago was this? :p I doubt that he would do anything even REMOTELY close to this now. "paul wait!" *turns* "......ok let's get the out of here" ":("

Yeah I'd say it was a lot closer to what bas said then wienerschnitzel's experience. He was hiding somewhere up in first class, I was pretty much on the opposite end in the row third from the end of the plane, haha.

And I'm definitely going to have as much fun as possible over here; I'm scheduled to deploy to Iraq in November (but maybe not until March at the very latest, who knows). Anyone have any recommendations for cool stuff in the Nurmburg area? I'm in Grafenwoehr but it's a tiny place in the middle of nowhere.

Rather high, since Paul is known to be Lufthansa's second best customer. :p
