There are plenty of free parties, wait til more of the flyers are made up. Frankly, just pay up to see the DJs you want, not worth trying to do WMC on a strict budget.

FYE Music store events are free (dates coming out slowly)
Apple store last year (maybe again this year?)
..bunch of stores have some big names. Last year David Vendetta and Micah were at some tiny ass shop haha. - cant wait to see Micah at Ultra and the other events. Love live stuff going on with EDM. |

| keep in mind if you're going to a free event, they get ridiculously packed (for obvious reasons) so go early or expect to be standing in a bigass line |

| Basic NY's day parties at the beach plaza are free and they are fun as hell... |

If they announce a "free" radio 1 party at nikki beach, don't go. I went to one a couple years ago and swore I'd never go again. The SoBe cops made them turn down the music at 5 or 6pm so only the booth speakers were on; you could only hear it from ~20ft away. Plus, getting in was a bitch and a half. The line was thousands of people long and bouncers were shamelessly asking for bribes to get people in. Worst $20 I've ever spent. I left after half an hour.
Bottom line - avoid nikki beach unless there's a cover, because its a great place that everyone will go to if its "free" |
