Seems as though Deux Ex 3 will be hitting PC, 360, and PS3 at some point. Release date yet to be confirmed. Awesome news either way. The original was a blast, and I played a demo of the second and it looked to be more of the same great stuff with better graphics. Not a bad thing at all.
Yet to play Crysis, I dont know anyone with a powerful enough rig to justify buying it, but I'm hearing only mediocre stuff. The graphics I hear are intense, but beyond that, nothing special. I hear the game is selling like too, probably because only 12 people on Earth have the computer that can handle it.
I've always been a sucker for CoD games, so CoD 4 is a kickass time in my book. I will admit that its nothing out of the ordinary, but since the formula works for me, I'm not complaining. |

| I really thought it was the most amazing fps ever made untill I finished it in like 5 hours :eek: I couldn't believe it was that short and I was quite disappointed to be honest. The multiplayer is okish, the airstrikes and helicopters should have been left out imo. |

| I've always wanted to be the gunner in an AC130 gunship so that mission is divine for me. One of the main reasons I purchased the game in the first place. |

I would have to say that CoD4 definitely has its moments. The sniping mission, and piloting a gunship definitely rank up there. Other than that, it is an incredibly atmospheric game, ruined only by the fact that the single player campaign I finished in about 6 hours. The multiplayer experience really is fantastic however, and I think it really stands out in that regard.
Crysis, I have running on my rig on all High settings, and graphically it is a masterpiece, but IMO FarCry had far better level design and was a just all around better game.
BioShock IMO is the best FPS I've played in a long while. Looking forward to picking up Half-Life 2: Orange Box just to get through Episode 2. |

The storyline of CoD4 + Graphics make it the best shooter I've ever played. BUT, single player was wayyy too short! I will try BioShock and Crysis next.

i thought it was a lot of fun until the aliens. havent played it much since. i hate aliens and these ones were especially gay. it wouldve been a far more impressive game had they not already made farcry.
EDIT: oh, and i was terribly disappointed with the "interactive" foilage. it was cool in some parts, but it only applied to certain trees/bushes and i thought that was amazingly weak. |

But that's why it's so good. CoD just works. They have a great formula and you just know you will get a good game. For what it's meant to be it's perfect. Shame it's so short though :(

That's why I play CoD on Veteran. I've played every single one on that and it really stretches it out and gives you a great sense of achievement when you finish it. I remember playing United Offensive, that was just ed up! At least in the new ones you heal, but in UO on Veteran there's no med packs and you don't heal. Ouch.

Man that was the sickest level around. Easily one of my favourite levels in any game.

That's a shame. The parts after that are great, especially when you get the alien gun. |

Too bad. After all the hype the game received I was expecting the next Doom or Half-Life. Better luck next time, Crytek. Maybe Far Cry 2 will be that next killer piece of software.
Ill agree with you Fledz, I got a kick outta CoD4, even if it is just more of the same thing. |
