this is my first presentation at a conference too, been to several before here in Aus but never bothered presenting (free holiday!)
I got lucky though, got a poster. Yes I'm being funded to go to the US to present a poster:stongue:

Still worried about getting hammered though, especially as I'll be seeking out some of the big-wigs for a chat if they're there.
This one's crazy big too (about 18,000 people) so I'm expecting to have to talk about my work to at least some people |

So I went out to a gay bar in LA last night and ING DREW BARRYMORE walked right by me in the bar. Holy she was so hot and looked 23!
And then I touched this lady's . Why? She was really bored and wanted to go home but her friends didn't want to so she decided to embarrass her friends by walking around with her out pretending she had no idea what was going on. I obviously liked this and she took my hand and put it on her well you know the next part...
And I only had one beer. Gay bars in LA are fun. Jake recommend! |
