| It looks like Perfecto has finally gone digital with their first release being Robert Vadney - SledgeHammer 2008 (Radio Edit). According to Beatport this was released Feb 12, 2008. Pretty exciting to see Perfecto finally get with the times. Hopefully they can get some of their back catalogue sorted out and release some of those gems as well! |

From the interview I heard with Oakey, he said forget about hearing the back catalouge on digital. He said it won't happen. |

| didn't they already release oakenfold's album digitally when it came out? and i remember reading somewhere that they won't be releasing any of their back catalogue digitally because they'd have to get permission from each and every artist for that. |

Yup thats the reason Oakey gave in the interview, which was:

It smacks of laziness. All it takes is a few emails. Flying Rhino are doing that and their back catalogue is appearing on the Internet for free (and legal) download.
Old Perfecto stuff would sell well on the download stores. Its just that they cant be bothered to do it. |

+1 Seriously
Those releases helped me get into Trance in the first place, during my "total EDM noob" stage :) |

Yeah I remember that interview too. And I also remember reading that Oakey said he'd only ever spin vinyl... Look where that went. :)
I can hope, right? I just won't hold my breath. |

They probably lost a lot of those old masters;just like bonzai. That's the only reason they're not going to put their backcatalogue online. That artist permission excuse is bs.
If their backcatalogue isn't showing up then there's no fuss needed about this label going digital. As of now, it's a huge pile of . |
