What I dislike is how much emphasis is put on the fact that she's a woman and he's black. Who the cares? Pick the best person for the job and off with the constant references to their gender or race. Seriously, it's the 21st century, people should be well over that by now.

Obama was born upper class and lived his early youth in hawaii, went to school at Columbia and Harvard Law, and his mother was white. He has more in common with whites than most whites do... and certainly related to the "white aristocracy" more than he does to the impoverished minority classes

I think you guys are missing the fact that this article was obviously written by George W. Bush.

Gods damn rights. It's kinda funny how much of the media boils it down to voting for a woman in office vs voting for a black man in office. But then again, we aren't over all the and that's were the problem is.

That's exactly why people should be voting for him.
Read the Journal Sentinels editorial board recommendation for him - they really, really emphasize that the fact that he's been in Washington for a such a short period of time (relatively) is far more asset than detriment.
The last thing America needs is another tyipcal "Washington" politician - because it's clear that absolutely none of them are capable of getting anything done anyway.
