Chris' Engrish doorbell

Ok long story short, while I'm waiting for a start date for my new job I'm back living at home.

My folks are sick of shouting up the stairs to me, as I cant hear them with music on, so we had the idea of buying a cheap wireless doorbell. This involved simply putting the push-button part in the kitchen and the receiver (ringing bit) in my bedroom. So basically, when they want me they push the button, I hear it and go downstairs. (Aside: Abuse of the button is common).

Anyway, the doorbell we got was the cheapest of the cheap. It was about £2 or £3 sterling. This is the kind of doorbell that has poorly rendered versions of Auld Lang Syne and Celine Dions Titanic theme tune as well as the standard "DING DONG". Plus with the length of the samples the visitor would have gone by the time it stopped ringing.

In any case, the funniest part of all this is the packaging - it being a great example of Engrish. Read it all carefully and try and understand it :D

I was expecting some story where your car broke down and rang the doorbell of the nearest house, which just happened to be some B-grade celebrity no one has heard of outside of the UK called Chris Engrish. Anyway, the funny part is that his doorbell is some humourous and ironic tune which somehow fits his claim to fame.

I am somewhat impressed by the battery life of one fear. You'd just be pissed if your mother-in-law rang it a week after you bought it.

Heh :p

Is it made in China? Or is it from some obscure Asian country?

Here's some of my own archive of the personal's Engrish :D
