Review: speedy j at footwork

What a nite!!
Arrived at 1130ish and barrato was spining some good tunes with big bass lines.
After a bit, the roaches lost me. For some reason I had a hard time getting in the mood tonight...
Speedy came on at 1 and wasn't so bad until he dropped bangpop from liebing. The track is sick. From that point on, it was a massacre!.
The last 1.5 hours were simply nuts. Sucks for those who left early. Did an encore and finished at 510 or so.
Crowd was pretty good. Didn't see many of the peeps in the roll call tho, only jamie.
The walk back to the apt sucked. Walked from fw to bloor n yonge...good hour walk!fortunately, its nice out...still some annoying bums on the way tho :s. I should of walked straight up on spadina and pop my cz cherry...oh well, another day.....and I'm fully satisfied by speedy J.
Looks like some djs didn't get to play unless they played 30 min sets before midnight. Glad they let the headliner play till close..
Time to get some sleep |

Is there such a thing as epic techno?
Ultimate throbing beats and a killer crowd bustin moves everywhere with a smile on their face and their feet kickin the out of the floor.
And then I got talked in to leavin at 3:30.... dammit!
Ah well,
Still had a killer time!

yeah definitely, usually the place thins out by like 3, but it was still fairly packed right up until close...
I still dont like how they close that place at 5am on the dot, they didnt let greg gow go on, although he was suppose to spin after speedy J, woulda been nice to see greg gow go 5-6 |

Ya... , sometime after 4am, JESUS CHRIST the BOMBS FELL FROM THE SKY! WOW!!!
was ramped up hard after 4am... man am I EVER glad I stuck around!!!!
Me and Cribs killed it up together well good after the rest of little group had to unfortunately leave :(
You guys, Cribs, Jackie, would have LOVEDDDDDDDDD it!!! Missed the best part of his set i swear to the universe!!

More nad more I'm beginning to REALLY LOVE this factor of Footwork ... bc more and more, by 5am I am honestly spent and done and ready to head home, but never want to leave unless the music is done playin'... i hate missing a DJs set that I'm feeling but am having trouble dancing too bc im either tired or my feet are aching like mad :( :( . . . . so i am becoming really appreciative when Footwork usually calls it quits by 5am. ;)
Footwork is quickly becoming my favourite place to hear DJs!! :D
