Is anyone else catching these recently posted sets?

Particularly the 2007-12-10 set.

All grabable from here:

http://www.hybridized.org/sets/?artist=9

The 2007-12-10 set is pure gold.
Paradox Lost
I've been meaning to grab a few sets from Hybridized lately, so thanks for the reminder- those Shiloh sets certainly seem like a great place to start.

Looks like what 90% of the other "prog house" DJ's are playing right now.

i liked his remix of 'because'. i thought it was really different and well done. i haven't heard much of his mixes, i'll check them out later.

Loads of people - they just call it minimal/tech/electro house and/or neo trance now.

Shiloh used to be great, but they have fallen off quite a bit in the last couple years, IMO.

Their August 2004 mix is one of my favorite sets of all time though. It's the pinnacle of their sound, for me.

2. Plastique Vision - Something Real [CDR]
3. Can Costa & Josh Collins - Uknown Own Remix [CDR]
4. Marris - Someday (Olivieri & M.O.S. Remix) [Mixturi]
5. Espen and Stian - Comatoast (Stel Remix) [Baroque]
6. Ozgur Can - Don't Do This [CDR]
7. Micah, Ben Camp & Matt Leutwyler - Grammer Lesson [Silver Planet]
8. Brahma Feat Jilllian Kiggins - Peak Of Destiny (Naveen G Remix) [Toes In The Sand]
9. Boom Jinx - Suncast (Neophasic Remix) [Unsigned]
10. Peter McCowan - ??? [Baroque]

One of my favorite transitions of all time, probably due in part to the sentiment behind the L&M remix of 'Crayons.'

Great sequencing, and an overall great set!

Shiloh has made crap since their album release...

I find this a slightly ridiculous thing to say, since I always rate a set on the way it sounds, not the way it looks.

Not necessarily. You should certainly evaluate it in and of itself, but in terms of the listening experience, it won't wind up being a particularly memorable set if it largely consists of a multitude of tracks you've heard elsewhere.

Of course, the most competent of the bunch will be able to select/sequence/mix these tracks in a unique way that differentiates them from the rest of the pack (not saying Shiloh isn't among them), but if it winds up being a by-the-numbers set, I can't imagine reaching for it later on down the road.

Agreed, it's a nice tribute. Adds a little something extra to this already great set. I'm sure Shiloh intended it that way, given the timing of their release of this set.
