Loving the Chicago scene and a lot of the places in town that are bringing some ace shows but FNF will be moving very soon no doubt. Next week we'll be having Avex Axiom & Randy Wilks and then Tolgar will be on Shu's night, after that probably moving to a more reliable venue...with a sign! Thanks to all who partied tonight :)

I'm so pissed I didn't make it out. Did my internet show until 9...decided to take a nap until 10:30...for whatever reason the alarm never went off..woke up at 1:30. How was Brent's set?

You guys definitely deserve better - I really can't believe the incredible lack of effort that the owners/management have put into Wax/Vivid/whatever.

So much potential just down the tubes with that one... :(

Brent's set was pretty solid, I was really impressed. Sorry we missed you Tolgar but we'll party again soon for sure!

Yeah, I don't get what they want to do, unless they just think they can find someone to give them the same raw deal the owners of Jet Vodka and the guy we were working with got. I'd love to own a bar & then charge someone expensive rent to call it their club and make them responsible for all costs for the place & bringing in all the business and then keep 100% of the bar ring for myself. The kicker was they even tried at first to charge the guy for the bartender too. All I know is we packed the place as soon as they opened the night of Solaris & they followed that up with dropping the deal we had without telling any of the promoters. They can have the hip hop night they want on Fridays, but if they want to pack those nights they'll still have to either put in lots of work themselves & do their own promoting to do so or else pay someone to do it, hip hop promoters aren't that cheap.

Some great new things are already in the works for the summer, but thanks to all who've been spinning and hanging out at Vivid/Wax on our & Shu's nights.

rofl, as in promoters promoting the dj's to say things such as: "who's making less than 45k's gotta get outta here!" orrr... the promoters spending ALL the money they earn on bottle service at their spot, each costing 250 each...and then getting 10 of them every ing weekend.... wearing white fur coats that get ed up from the booze.. it was surrrrreal

you just had to be there.
