Wow! I grooved more in the first 2 1/2 hours than I have EVER (and I was 100% sober!) But after that, his set just epic failed in my opinion. He made up for it by being the coolest DJ I've ever talked to. He's so up for fun of any sort that it's really hard to stop having fun.
AND FOR THE LAST TIME, I'M NOT JAMES ZABIELA :stongue: |

| Had a lot of fun. I thought his set was pretty good, although I'm still a huge noob to that type of stuff. There were a lot less people than I was expecting, I've only been to Opera on big name nights, so it was interesting. Had a great time overall. |

| I know for a fact that the lack of crowd was due to it being Wednesday. The bigger venues never can get a crowd during the week. MJQ does though. *remembers a PACKED SMD* |

| Yeah I should have figured that. Keep forgetting most people work 5 days a week. :wtf: |

i'm gonna have to call you out on this one sam!! i had 2 beers all night so i'd consider that about 89.65% sober for me and i must say this was one of the best live sets i have ever heard. i got there around 10:30pm (so at this point, 1.5 hours into his set?) and it was good. i loved that chugging along feel he had going... just slowly building it up and up. i left at 1am (4 hours into his set) and i was so upset i had to leave. maybe his last 2 hours blew but in my opinion, those first 4 hours were excellent. my only complaint was some kind of popping or something weird going on with the speakers at Opera. i doubt it was Danny's mixing... but who knows. i went with 2 friends who also thought this was one of the best sets they had heard. A+ night, and even though it was empty by Opera standards, it was awesome to hang out and know about 99% of the crowd and to have all the room in the world for dancing! |

Me and some friends went, and while his set did seem to start dragging out, I had a fun time overall. I guess it as the crowd that pretty much failed.
And lol @ "Jame Zabiela," I was thinking the exact same thing. |

Didnt have my cell with me because it exploded.... anyhow have fun at howells :D |
aww man, sorry we missed each other. i texted you at bbc/radio 1 but now it makes sense why you didn't get it. hopefully i'll get to see you soon and that you had fun in miami!!!
as for danny's set, he began with a great build up but puttered out the last couple of hours. he needed to take it up a notch imo and he just fell flat. there were a couple of great tracks thrown in that teased me and then the next track would go no where. i have seen way better sets by him!!!!! he is an extremely enthusiastic and people interactive dj and an all around nice guy!!!! he and lee are very much a like in that respect.
opera has to win for the worst placement of a dj booth EVER!!!!!! wtf, i needed binaculars. way too far away and the sound was off all night, man i miss funktion 1 and EWA and phazon systems!!!! the place looked beautiful but it's not the same as the old 1150 and the vibe that place had!!!! great seeing all the atlanta peeps though. i'm pretty much dead now after leaving my friends house at 4 am to pick my mom up and head to the airport to go back to LA after arriving in altanta from a week in miami!!! xanax helped the plane ride home but now i feel like i've partied for a week. gonna get some sleep and recover b/c the next few months in LA are wicked crazy!!!!
until next time guys! |

I've accepted the fact that I look like him, but it's funny to me that EVERY SINGLE DJ I TALK TO as well goes "Oh I thought you were James hiding in the corner!" :wtf:
