>>Love You All Over<<
Okay, now we're cookin'.
This is the final version of my latest track, which I posted last night sounding too low and bassy, not in a good way. I've taken the advice of one Vortex_SA and my track really came to life. Thank you once again, you showed me the way and I followed it to success :gsmile:
The only little problem I have with this final version are the kicks. I could never get kicks right. Either they sound to weak or too low. In this case it's in the middle, any lower and it would have ruined it. But it's audibly ok.
Again, I used vocal samples I downloaded from SampleSwap.org. Great site!
Please leave feedback! |

the overall sound is much better, the bass is on the right level, but in a "not effective" frequency, the kick shouldnt be strong or loud, it should imply that it is strong, you should hear it and your level meters wont go crazy, but your ears will, you create this sort of thing with eqing and experiment, the bass kick shouldnt be long too, the bassline should fill in the gaps in there, you may want to eq it so it will have a nice bottom (around 50-80 hertz) and a smashing highs, and it should go really quickly to the low part but leave a hint of the highs that was on the start as it goes... thats my general saying on kicks, in this track of mine you can here my type of the kick described above:
Xetro - You took my heart (Xetro remix) (Sample)

and there is another aproach, more thumping one, less highs on that one:
Xetro - Sex on a yellow desert (Sample)

anyway, your getting the sound clear, but listen to your track "from the outside", do you see it around other tracks in a set? can imagine people moving to the beat? that is the main thing i think you should look after, a sound or a melody or a beat that is unique and genuine that will make the happy people jump, i hope ill hear good stuff from you, take care :) |

Ahh! You bring out the perfectionist in me, Vortex :p
I want the kicks to sound right so I will keep trying. I'm so impatient, which is why I settle when I think it sounds ok. But with the knowledge you provide I now know better and it will be as perfect as can be :tongue3 |
