you know how many djs i get offered and i answer that there is no market for them here.. ???
no club to make them perform... no crowd to come see them
djs are getting paid wayyyyy too much now
they produce a hit, the market in europe eat them alive, they make em play everywhere... when it gets to montreal... they think they are the kings but they dont bring more than 60 people
how many people would go see anthony pappa because they know who he is ?

seriously.... we... TAs... know them.... some people know them... but they ask for so much that you put less money on advertising them if you want to make it profitable... less promo = less people coming and it goes on like that all the time
thank god I love neon / piknik / smaller venues bring some artists... but we never here about it
i got offered freakin peace division... i said no... sooo many good trance djs... had to say no... other very well known producers... but theres no venue to be found to make it happen
and people dont want to pay... they all have MOTHAFUNKEN GUESTLIST
how do you bring artists when no one is paying

Sven is impossible to book and deadmau5 is not available before october november
even tho montreal was the when it was coming to bookings 5 or 6 years ago... djs charge too much... they are impossible to book

I think most people on here get it, but are still just hopeful regardless, but ya, most of the up and comers we simply wont see till they are REALLY big and have huge followings here and everywhere else for that matter. |

that is pretty much the only thing i can look forward to in montreal anymore piknic electronik
one thing this city needs is a decent 24/t edm station for the commercial people to hear even better they would hear at some crappy places like 1234 and . That is how a feel. If only these BeB lovers would go to WMC or Ibiza or Berlin or wtv or atleast Piknic and see some real ing then their top 40 commercialized tunes.

lets say if the person spends like $40 a week on drinks for a year thats like $2080 :crazy: u could rent for 4-days a condo in miami for WMC for 1/2 of that u saved then u still got $1k there about a 1/5th will be towards the WMC/UMF ticket still got $700-$800 for clubs and food lol plus if u go down with friends the condo can be split so u get more money to spend partying. 4-days during WMC is almost like a year of partying in Montreal lol |

I had to use a reasonable number lol
honestly if a person willing to spend $200 a week on alcohol at a club. honestly they could afford WMC or Ibiza. |
