| This is something that has puzzled me a bit since I noticed it! Why is this? I had trouble searching for this on www.amazon.com because since 1 - 3 was spelt "Tranceport" and volume 4 was spelt "Transport" and www.amazon.com didn't put number 4 in the same series due to the different spellings. It doesn't make any sense that there needs to be 2 different spellings. Was there a reason for this? |

| First 3 were trance but they wanted to change the name to stay away from pure trance.......so they changed it...big deal....marketing ploy imho.....dunno if it worked tho. |

If I remember correctly the first three tranceports were actually trance djs (Paul Oakenfold, Dave Ralph and Sandra Collins)
But transport 4 was mixed by Max Graham and he didnt want it to have anything to do with trance, The music scene has also changed from trance to progressive so they decided to change the name.
Transport 5 was mixed by Quivver and its even more progressive and techy, so the name tranceport wouldn't have fitted either.
hope this helps.

Actually they changed the name because the first name Tranceport was more for the first trance oriented cd's. When Max Graham went to Mix the next cd (4th Volume). They changed the name because they didnt want to false advertise the cd's because it wasnt really trance (more tech-deeper-oriented cd). Still keeping the original flavor there, they switched it around to make it just right. It semes like the serries gets deaper and deaper each cd. Regards

lol
as for tranceport/transport. i got em all, and they all kick ass, i suppose it's true that 4 and 5 are more progressive, but i still don't think they should have changed the spelling. |
