Woah! :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
This came out of nowhere.
Anyways...easy to see who is the better producer...this tune is a mind...and Dear added a vocal. |

Sounds like playing something backwards...
That vocal is creepy.
Not really sure on this tune yet... |

+1, gonna have to hear the whole thing. In any case I'm buying it just for that. |

Weird that Beatport has only one of the Audion Mixes for sale
I got 2 in the promo pack a bit back. Maybe the other one's still due
Sasha - Park It In The Shade (Audion's Deep Steeple Mix)
Sasha - Park It In The Shade (Audion Ain't Got No Friends Mix)
Both are pretty outstanding imo (after a few listens!) :eyes: |

Ooo I'd like to hear the other.
And emFire have been really all over the place vis-a-vis releases. The COMA remixes came out a few weeks ago (remastered, I posted a thread) and while it was in my cart, it vanished. Dunno what they have going on but its getting anoying...

| I was just on my way to posting this. I had a feeling someone had gotten to it already :) Eerie , different, I like 'em both. Original is better for banging out on the dancefloor, and Audion's "Ain't Got No Friends" mix is a great builder. Still gotta buy the full version to give a better critique. Beatport needs to remaster and reissue the original mix. |

So I decided to just jump in and buy it.
Mistake imo...
It's a very well produced track - very unique sound and a great build. gets really insane around the 6 minute mark. But I don't think this track fits anywhere in a set. |

| Wow, I like this way better than the original, it's got that eerie "off" sound, and a sweet vocal too. But I agree with the above - I don't know how I'd work it out in a mix. I think I'll buy it just to listen to though, at least. |

| Way too weird for my taste. It's like the soundtrack for a bad drug experience. |

The "Audion ain't got no Friends" mix would probably be fun to play towards the end of an opening set or really, really, really late.
The mix that really shines on this release (at least for me) is Audion's "Deep Steeple" mix - which is probably also a bit more accessible to the general public, although it clocks in at right around 11 minutes long. Much more kind of chuggy techno than the weird stuff, but in general I think it's got a nice build.
Pretty much like almost anything Mathew Dear touches. :)
That being said, I doubt I would ever play either of them. |
