I am going to the Electro.Techno.Disco.POP event on May 24th (Markus, Ferry and Tiesto... HELLLOOO I DIE!!! *twitch*)

I know to fly into SFO and Take the BART to Balboa Station. But what is the hotel situation like? Where is a good cheap place to stay?

I would def NOT stay in Daly city!! There are a bunch of nice hotels near the airport and in Burlingame. My advise is to stick with a well respected chain in order to have a proper comfortable stay

P.S. SEE YA THERE!!!!

Yeah, Cow Palace is in a real iffy area of SF. I would not stay near the Cow Palace.

I would look for a hotel in South San Francisco (near the nice ass BART station there), Millbrae or, as John mentions, Burlingame . Prob even be cheaper to take a taxi from there to Cow Palace than from Central SF. Or at least about the same.

In order from distance from Cow Palace, it's South San Francisco, then Millbrae, then Burlingame.

What about staying actully in SF and taking the BART to the cow palace?? The train runs every 20 minutes?

I will look into those areas. Thanks for the help!

Just remember that BART closes at 12am-1am on Saturdays, and reopens at 8am Sunday morning... and you don't want to be stuck in that area for 6 hours when it ends....

So you'll need to take a taxi back to your hotel... (or bum a ride from some parents that'll be there to pick up the under 18 kids after it ends at 2am) :p

why do people think the locals know where all the good hotels are? does that make any sense? :haha:

or bum a ride w/ someone going to an after party... 2AM is EARLY! Pretty sure Taj will be banging it out until 6AM this night  :D

All the best hotel deals are around the Airport.

Check out Hilton Garden Inn, I used to stay there all the time at $99 a night.

or Marriott Courtyard. Cheap and easy.. Just go to hotels.com and stay in South SF or Burlingame. Those are your best bets.. I used to travel to SF almost every week for a year and stayed at various properties all around that area. If you have an extra 30 bucks, stay at the Embassy Suites. You can pack a room there and save $$ cause there is a front room with a sofa bed, the main bedroom has its own door. They are usually $125-$150 a night.

Definitely don't stay by Cow Palace. I think Cow Palace just killed the whole event for me. I thought this was gonna be at the Bill Graham.

I don't know about you, but I've been to my fair share of hotel parties, both local and away. I am slightly knowledgeable in helping people find a good place to get ed up and pass out for the night. :p

Most likely I will have to work the next day. So if you happen to stay in Burlingame or Millbrae, I can take you back after the party is over.

If Lyndsay decides to go, try to mind her drunkeness in the car. :haha:

Send me a pm if you think this works for you.
