I admit it. You were right. (pg. 2)

Yeah - no matter what pad you're using or how solid your setup is, the EA games just do not run anywhere near as smoothly on PC as on consoles.
That's at least been my experience with them as well. |

| a lot of it is the delay. I can't remember if there was more or less on the pc, but it's definitely a different one than on the console (spins, jukes, jumps, etc.). Going from one to the other is awful. |

I think the timing issue is pretty much the largest one for me as well, it just felt like button presses had to be done in a completely different rhythm and it just didn't seem to sync up as well - I don't know, maybe they just didn't feel like they ran as "tight" (if that makes any sense) on the PC as on consoles.
I've had a lot of different gamepads over the years, but none of the EA games from as far back as the early 90's seemed as enjoyable for me to play on PC as they were on consoles. |

I don't know about sports sucking on PC. I play FIFA on my PC only, don't have a PS3 or 360, and when I go play with my friends on their consoles I still whoop that ass. Feels the same to me. :conf:
I was thinking about buying a 360, but all of the great games for it I already have on PC. And they play better with mouse/keyboard, and you can always plug in a controller if thats your bag. |

Unreal Tournament III (I don't really like it too much compared to UT2k4/Quake 3, but the community is active and abundant right now)
Maybe you also want to get Counterstrike:Source or Day of Defeat:Source. |

+1, if your PC can do HL2 decently, then CS and DOD should be no problem. Both have a very active community atm. (I play Dod pretty much daily.) |

| I never noticed this apparent sluggishness of sports games on PC, but I'm keen to go and have a good look now. Maybe it's just particular titles? |
