your problem is you combine your faith with a healthy dose of stupidity, always a winning combination!

Well, I can't say there are more earthquakes simply because I feel I am hearing more and more about earthquakes. That would not make it so. I can only justify my feeling if there is a measured increase in earthquake activity around the globe. Stuff like the 2004 Asian tsunami freaks me out a little. But even still, if all these things were documented by science, that still would not prove any of the mystical interpretations of the end of the world, because these predictions are not based in science. But for me, someone who believes in faith along with science, it gives me the spooks.

2004 tsunami was nothing. Recall an island called Krakatau? If not, it's because it blew itself up in the late 1800s, with massive amounts of devastation following in its wake. I'm sure many were predicting the End Of The World for years after that, at least until the year 1900 (because we all know the World loves to End on centennial dates of the Christian calender). And let's not get into the global effects of Tombora in 1815! Imagine if something like that happened today.

Earth's a rough place to live. Always has been, and always will be.

Basically anyone you disagree with is stupid...

And if you read my posts, I already implied that 'end of the world' prophecies are subjective. Let's not slap on arguments I never made.

And why the hell are some of you acting as if your offended by the mere mention or discussion of this subject? Is it that taboo ?

The only major change that is about to come in/after 2012 is a drastic downfall of the number of COR threads, given the fact that "2012 - apocalypse, OMG Mummy, Mummy!"-threads seem to make up about 60% of them lately.

"subjective" - wtf is that supposed to mean? there's nothing subjective about them at all. youre either retarded and believe them, or your world is governed by reason and you dont.

People who deal in absolutes just love to be right. That's the only reason why they do it. Not because it entertains them, or they derive something from it, but because they are piss afraid to be proven wrong by the ideas of far more innovative personalities.
