Wineries and Breweries in the GTA

So I'm throwing this party in a weeks time and the plan is to serve wine /beer (awesome combination) among other things.

The trick is finding a worthy winery which sells in bulk (20L/30L) and cheap (~$50-$70 per that amount):D. It's also very preferable that the wine doesn't taste like absolute garbage and the winery allows tasting before buying.

Same thing with breweries, looking for a good cheap brewery that will have a keg or two ready within 7-9 days.

I remember a particular winery I visited somewhere in the neighborhood of Weston rd and Finch Ave, but this was a long time ago and I completely lost all their contact info.

In any case it'd be awesome if someone could recommend something useful for me. :)

maybe contact a Vin Bon location for their wine? im not a wine drinker so i dont know what is good and what is not.

as for beer, i recall seeing a small brewery on bathurst just north of lakeshore (on the east side between front street & lakeshore). i know they sell to the public as well.

Thanks for the list!

The main reason for me asking this question here is that I hope people have been to those places and can attest that their product is good (and cheap):D.

very good selections

and if you don't mind a bit of a drive.. King beer has some good stuff, and occasional seasonal brews... up in Nobleton... ( highway 27 + King Side Road)the brewery is located just east of that intersection on King Road right next to Cosmocare Auto Collison.

Definitely great choices.

As for the wine... I don't know how much luck you'll have finding such a large quantity for so cheap on short notice.

for good wine, you might want to check with Magnotta Winery

If you're willing to go to Jordaan, Ontario...I recommend this place: Cave Spring Cellars

These seem as the best choice location/price/taste wise, however it's a pain distributing carbonated beer from kegs (at least with the pumps I've been using) as you get 60% foam and 40% beer :(. It looks as though I'll have to opt out for non-carbonated this time around :nervous:.

The magnotta winery seems as a good choice, I'll definitely be going up there for sampling :D.

I've also come across Cilento Wines winery in the Markham region and it seems as though they're worth a visit as well.

Lisa, thanks for the recommendation, but these guys are way too far :(.

btw, chinamon, the Vin Bon guy are exactly what I was looking for, the y have a distributor in the Weston/Finch area. The only problem is that they only sell juice...
