yay my computer arrived today!

Just recently moved to teh UK, and got my computer shipped over the pond. It came today, and I was so looking forward to be cranking out some new choons...
ing 20" widescreen monitor was a busted, and loose in one of the corners, so i popped the "lid" back in without thinking about it.. Doesnt work..
Computer was almost okay, apart from the cabinet had gotten a good kicking around the psu, so the psu bracket had been bent.. that is like steel ffs.. plus, now i can't get the door open.. still fires up tho, altho i havent got a 100% confirm since i cant see!
the box the monitors came in was pretty busted, but both monitors are working tho.. only thing i can see is a stripe across one of the corners..
bleh.. good thing all 3 of the boxes were insured for up to (about) $1400 usd each... |

sorry to here that that sucks but at least its working i would have taken the hard drives only and sold the rest but rather than shipping as i know what thats like.
but glad it arrived any way. |

Sorry to hear that mate. Must suck to have all the anticipation then when the stuff turns up it’s ed.
Unfortunately in the uk delivery companies have a reputation of doing this stuff for a laugh.
I had a temp job in a warehouse one Christmas where people would find items marked with fragile on them and then just check the box as hard as they could for fun. Wankers
Suppose it’ a dumb job for dumb people and as the saying goes simple things please simple minds. Or then again mabey it’s jealously?

electronics is actually the one thing that is pretty cheap in norway compared to uk, and im not a rich man so hehe...
checked out the computer with another monitor and everything was working nicely.. so all i need is a new monitor ( i love my 20" widescreen, 16:10 ftw!) and a new cabinet..
