Acid is the only one I can think of that can really hold its own with alcohol. But I have seen a friend of mine drink so much alcohol that he passed out maybe 4 hours after dosing. He woke up after about an hour and complete hilarity ensued. He was speaking in his own made up language and talking all kinds of crazy talk. |

lol yeah for him, but I was starting to think we were going to have to take that fool to the hospital for alcohol poisoning and going to hospitals and explaining things to doctors while on acid woud be a bit of a mind. Fortunately he was a raging alcoholic and could handle the massive amount he drank without dying. |

Weed is a situational drug for me. At times, I dont want to do it because I know ill get tired and lazy. At other times, the complete opposite rings true, I get all energetic and happy and want to hang out with every mother****** at the party.
It all depends on a) who you are with b) what time of day it is c) how much energy you have before you smoke.
I dont really ever smoke during the day anymore because Ill usually just get counterproductive and not wanna do , but at night its the best because I've already taken care of all my and can just relax, sit back, joke about random things while sippin on a beer or two. |

In all seriousness, I've found that it's different strokes for different folks. I've seen people who literally smoked themselves retarded. NO clue as to what was going on in real life. I've seen people who become uber paranoid. I've seen people who it didn't really seem to affect much at all, so they never used it much.
Being a Type A by nature, I found it to be very relaxing, personally, when done in the proper setting (privacy of home). It also definitely enhanced EDM and Winamp visuals for me :D. It usually made me introspective and very detail-oriented, too. I loved to get baked and mow the yard in the summer, for example. I'd manicure that . But, that was my early 20s, and I was single and had both the income and the lack of responsibilities necessary to support such a habit.
Now that I'm married, in my early 30s, and raising two stepdaughters, there's simply no time/money/excuse for it. No matter how silly the laws may be, it's illegal, bottom line. And no matter how relaxing the stuff may be for someone so high strung by his very nature, it's not worth that if it means losing the kids. If the laws were changed, I'd perhaps reconsider. But I don't see that coming in my lifetime. |

Good post. Keep your priorities straight, and when responsibility is at stake, getting high is the last thing you should be doing. Everyone always says that getting high is a high school/college thing and that most people eventually "grow out of it." I have a tendency to believe that. |

Hmm... I feel kind of dirty now. Started in high school (14 years ago), continued through college, and still smoke to this day.
I have a steady 9-5 job in the tech industry, no kids, no dependants, and no unmanageable debt. I work out 1.5 hours daily, and am generally in good health. I also dont smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol.
Smoking ganj is still a daily ritual for me. Anywhere from 1 - 4 bowls after all my sh*t has been done for the day. After many years, I still enjoy that moment of the day when I can sit down, play some music, smoke a bowl and relax until it's time for bed. Maybe I'll grow out of it one day, but for now I view it as my glass of wine in the evening. :tongue2 |
