| Bah, who cares about the quality: music is what really matters :) Well, I've got two young brothers who are always destroying my beloved CD's, therefore, everytime I buy something, I encode it. Usually, I choose 160, but lately I've been enconding at 192 as well... |

| Almost all stuff is in 192, but 256 is the rate I prefer. But .wav is even better ;). |

LAME VBR VBR VBR baby!!!!!!
192k VBR would be best for me, so 192k CBR comes close. btw, i'm so sick of people who encode MP3s in Xing encoder (which comes with AudioCatalyst), :mad: it's hands down the worst quality encoder out there, :rolleyes: yet so popular. |

| 160 is almost enough - I don't hear big differences in the quality between a 192k and a 160k mp3...even 128 isn't bad! |

| 192 is the best for me as well. I dont have a great soundcard on my labtop, and when its not there im listening on headphones, so anything else wont sound any better. 160 is fine, but not as good and 128 or less is just |
