Hey everyone im new here so forgive me if this has been covered already (i did try searching for it)
i was just wondering how you guys deal with VSTi's using up all the CPU? I am working out of Cubase and with 5-7 tracks of VSTi's running at the same time my CPU is totally done. Now I'm aware that I can freeze the VSTi's but that doesnt really help me if I'm still trying to work on them.
Is there a way around this that doesnt involve getting rid of any tracks? Is there any way to use the different sounds on a VSTi without opening another instance of it?
once again im sorry if this has already been covered
feedback is much appreciated! :happy2: |

Tricky but after all useful:
Duplicate your entire track, freeze one and disable the other one.
I don't know what people do nowadays... My cpu charge doesn't hit 60%.

How much RAM do you have? I too have the same issue with using all of my resources but my computer is around 6 years old.
After WMC I will be purchasing a new computer, possibly THIS one, not too sure if that is great for producing though. Thoughts?
Sorry for threadjack! |

render to wav the sounds you are happy with and load them in a sampler
or use send/return for effects when you can |
