My bad - I never actually made the sheffield weekend run, I was just trying to remember it in all messy detail as related by my flatmate ;)

"And in' hell, we had this puppet, and we took it out to insomniacz, then we were all sat in the ladies bogs putting up posters of in' boybands on the wall and getting thrown out, but they let me back in, and I just remember having a conversation with this ing golden monkey sat on McNaughty's shoulder!!!"

etc... ;)

If you can afford it, you should go to Godskitchen on the Friday and Gatecrasher on the Saturday. If you can only afford one, you might be better off considering Gatecrasher, but I guess it depends what lineup takes your fancy. If it were me, I'd choose the weekend after. Scot Project on the Friday, and Mauro Picotto on the Saturday. What a banging weekend that would be! I think Gods is only on until 4 some weekends, which is a bit pants really. I'm not sure when it's on until that weekend.

I'm not sure about after-parties in these other cities, but then again if you have to get your flight you might not have time for that. I would guess, as tu face says, Birmingham has better after-parties, so if Godskitchen shuts at 4, it won't matter cos you could head somewhere after that.

Murray, you can't book this far ahead with GO Airlines, however I checked the prices for October, they are the same as now. Basically, from Newcastle to Stansted will cost you £30 each way at the most, £15 each way at the cheapest. If you get a mid-week flight, or an early morning flight, it should be £15. Check www.goairways.com and keewp searching. It can save you a tenner sometimes to book a day earlier or later, or get an early morning flight.

I'm not sure which airlines fly from Teesside. Getting up to Newcastle, down to Stansted, and from Stansted into London city centre might bump up the cost though. I think Stansted airport is about 10 miles outside London city centre.

Us lot are definatly looking for a flight down this time. The coach was quality, but just a bit time consuming and boring, if we could get a flight for the pirce you mentioned ALEX, then i'm there in sharpish fashionm. However, flight or no flight, i'm there even if i have walk, (OTT) but it's an event i enjoy cos it lasts so long which i like:D :D

uh, ok.....:conf:

so i decided to go to Gods Kitchen next Friday. It's too bad that there is nothing special going on next weekend (Mauro Picotto will be over here) but the date really isn't flexible because of my job and graduation.

I've rented a car, which should be dangerously interesting (we americans don't know how to drive stick lefthanded), so what happens saturday is up in the air.

if any of you will be in Birmingham on Friday, let me know; maybe we can meet up.

Thanks for the help, let me know if anyting else good comes up.
