What is the easiest way to rip a clip from a DVD?

I want to get take some clips off a dvd movie (3-4 minutes in length). What is the easiest way to do that in Windows.
I've found some instructions online that involves ripping the whole dvd, encoding the files, opening the movie in a program then narrowing it down to the specific clip: there has to be a much simpler way |

best way i know is slysoft anydvd
You convert the movie to whatever movie format you want and then clip the part you want like any other avi/mpeg/quicktime file |

| I'm not sure about this, but I'd suspect that you'll either have to rip the entire movie or, alternatively, rip the chapters that feature the clips in which you're interested and then use a program to slice the specific clips for which you are looking. |
