a similar thing that bothers me is the use of "np" (no problem(s)).

this is a reconstruction of an event that took place on IRC, about 3 years ago on my birthday:

( some guy ) happy birthday
( me ) thanks
( some guy ) np

i mean.. what is this?

NP or no problem is another way of saying "you're welcome".

It's similar to Spanish "De Nada" which literally translates to "It's nothing".
THE_Chris
Writing np on a forum/MSN is ok.
SAYING np in Real Life =
CONNERMAN2000
I've never really noticed it, so its not much of a problem in my book. :stongue:

Saying "N.P." means you're a ing geek and need to get the hell off the computer and maintain yourself some type of life.

Saying "no problem" is cool beans.

There's nothing wrong with saying "no problem". You're an hater.
