Hi people!
Got a new hardtrance vinylmix for you all, running at about 146 bpm / 60 mins... any comments welcome! The first transition is kind of strange, but since I'm too lazy I didn't bother to record it again, the rest should be pretty smooth.
Tracklisting (sorry, haven't made a cue file yet):
01. Flutlicht - Das Siegel
02. DJ Energy - Excelsis
03. The Mystery - Devotion (Flutlicht Mix)
04. DJ Air - Alone With Me (Flutlicht Mix)
05. Flutlicht - Ahmea
06. Altitude - Altitude (S.H.O.K.K. Mix)
07. Rank 1 - Awakening
08. Signum - Second Wave
09. DJ Energy - Excelsis (S.H.O.K.K. Mix)
10. Mauro Picotto - Awesome!
11. Flutlicht - Icarus (the Flight)

What's up!
First of all I'm glad you found a place to host your mix. Tell me, how did you do it? :) I'm a University student just like you, but my college account is only 50 MB max.
Secondly, even though the bitrate is 128 the quality is excellent, did you use any tricks to connect the mixer output to your sound card? What sound card are you using? (Reason I'm asking is 'cos I'm about to record a mix myself in the near future.)
The tracks are pretty cool, and the mixing is not bad, either!
Except that first one, like you said.
I think this could be a fiery mix at any club! |

Thanks for the feedback, Eugene!
About the server space, well, the mix takes up pretty much all the space I have. I usually only have a mix up a couple of weeks max, then replace it with something new. Additionally, there is possible for me to, say, store 200 megs there for a limited period of time. Files that are over the limit are only deleted two times in a month, so you can keep bigger files there for a while.
I don't think the sound quality is THAT good, I use a very cheap phono-minijack cable to connect the mixer (a Pioneer DJM-300) to my laptop (which has an average onboard soundcard installed) and use Goldwave or Sound Forge to record it. After that Musicmatch does the MP3 encoding. I didn't do any post-processing. If you have a decent mixer and OK soundcard, you should get high quality recordings. Just make sure to spend a while tweaking the recording levels on the soundcard, so that the input volume is perfect. |
