Army of Two..Anyone ran out to buy this yet?

Released yesterday apparently.
I know there's a TA in my city (Sean Walsh) who worked on the development of this at EA here in Montreal.
But I doubt I'd get an ubiased review off him :p Unless he was drunk... Anyway...
So far the critics are giving it decent marks, 8-8.5 on 10ish, which seems quite good. And apparently this game takes co-op to a whole new level, which is inviting to me as I'm a HUGE co-op game lover, but I was hoping someone on here might have been even more eager than me to play this and had gone out to get it already.

Waiting to hear reviews - don't know about this one. Just seems like one of those games like Kane & Lynch where it sounds and looks amazing on paper, but I've gotta see how it plays.

Exactly what I was afraid of :(
Every review seems to say the same thing - that single player is an incredibly frustrating experience, but co-op is gold.
I don't really play games with anyone here, so there's really no way I put money into a game that's no fun to play alone. |

Ya bit of confusion concerning the release date, I was going by what Gamespot said.
My buddy and I play all the co-ops together, it's why I found Gears of War so fun I guess. |

worth $80? nah.
when EA delayed it and they said it was for 'polishing' they must have really meant finishing, because i see no polish.
i see a game with an outdated graphics engine (could have been better but i'm sure they said 'it's just easier to make the graphics worse to get good framerate instead of tweaking it properly), with bland controls, trying to hard to not look like gears of war. turning out to be nothing but a lesser- gears of war.
still fun to play but i mean come on ea. this one was in the bags, wtf is wrong with you? |
