a lot is common sense, but seeing as so many of us are now working with the '0.0db' digital release in mind i think many lack the knowledge on how to make a track suitable for vinyl pressing...
i found this and there are a few nice pointers:-

i hope one day vinyl will be reborn and if it does, i want to be able to work with it:) |

Thanks for the tip. I still prefer DJing with vinyl because the relaxed dynamic range gives me plenty of headroom for crossfading. I've found that CD's with supermegaultramaximised dynamics can be a little trickier to crossfade at times due to virtually no headroom and creates a significant db boost mid-fade. |

Adjust the cross fader blend so that it dips in the middle this will help even up the sound. If you dont have it then next time you get a mixer keep an eye out for this facility.
or mix like a pro and just move the vol faders with your little finger while tweaking the EQ ;) |

Well I suppose it is a cheap mixer...:nervous:
But I still prefer the dynamics of a track on vinyl. |

Isn't that what the gain knob is for? Or did I misunderstand your complaint? |
