Too bad you don't work in Kingston then, they're getting nailed! |
I wish I worked further away to get the snow days. Although, there have been days this winter that I shouldn't have driven to work even if it is only 12 min from home.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else were you get more snow than here though. We get enough here as it is. |

Took 3 hours to get from Pearson home to Kitchener.
This is supposed to be the calm before the storm. |

That is y!
So glad my roadtrip to Montreal was last weekend and not this one. It would have been hell if it was tonight. |

Winter storm warning for
Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale continued
..Another winter Wallop threatens spring forward weekend..
This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A storm is currently over North Carolina this morning and will push northward today giving significant snow to most of southern Ontario. The first round began Friday morning over areas north of the lower Great Lakes and last evening across eastern Ontario and ski country. The Niagara Peninsula and Ottawa have already received about 17 centimetres as of 4 AM. Snow has become light and more intermittent this morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected in the second round beginning this afternoon in the southwest and this evening over eastern Ontario. Keep in mind that the snowfall duration will be about 36 hours but the heaviest snow will be this afternoon into this evening.
Storm totals will likely be 30 to 40 centimetres along and east of a line from St Thomas to Barrie then to Petawawa. There is potential for 40 to 50 centimetres of snow over the Niagara Peninsula and parts of Haliburton Highlands into Pembroke. Areas west of the St Thomas to Petawawa line should see between 10 to 20 centimetres with lesser amounts near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. With the warm front just to the south of the St Lawrence Valley these regions may expect ice pellets and a risk of freezing rain this afternoon. Behind this system strong northerly winds to 70 km/h are likely. Strong winds combined with fresh snow will cause blowing snow and local whiteout conditions creating dangerous driving conditions. Blowing snow will be the main concern for areas from Windsor to Sarnia to Owen Sound and hence a blowing snow warning is in effect for these areas.
Travellers should be prepared to change their plans accordingly. Areas north of Lake Ontario and into the St Lawrence Valley should not be surprised by the occurrence of some thunder and lightning as this vigorous low passes by late today.
Environment Canada will continue to monitor the situation to update watches and warnings as required.
... ITS STILL COMING!!
Is it clear yet in Toronto? Further south in the horseshoe? |

| They're saying the worst is still to come around 3:00 pm today. Looking outside now, I don't know how much worse it can get. Think I may try to fire up the BBQ on my balcony and really throw off my neighbours...:haha: |
