what sort of hardware would i need to be able to mix from my laptop and be able to listen to the cue at the same time? if i just connect it to the mixer, i won't get the separate channels (say from traktor) split into separate outputs.

you can...if you are ok to work with mono...you send deck A to L Channel and deck B to R channel and you have two separate channels on your mixer. if you need to connect both then you just use a splitter...
