| having just purchased my applemacbook pro and logic 8, im trying to think of a suitable keyboard for producing mainly trance and vocal trance. Have looked in the tutorial pages and thereare lots of suggestions, but was recommended the new xiosynth by a friend of mine. Anyone got any opinions on this or recommend what would be a better investment to produce good trance? thanks:) |

the interface for the synth (the knobs etc.) is pretty house. seeing as this is one of the main reasons for buying hardware in the first place, i would stay away from the xiosynth. instead, i would purchase an x-station. they are a bit more expensive, but the interface is far better.
i played around with a xiosynth in the shops and the menus did nothing but piss me off. in an x-station, you get essentially the same synth, but 95% of the parameters have their own knob... definately worth it imo. |
