When I need to escape from reality I do something called 'reading', and like, use a thing I like to call my 'imagination'.
When I need to feel better I go to the gym. I end up looking better and feeling better in the long run instead of in drug induced spurts as a result. |

That's a weird stance. Why is it? Personally, I just choose not to drink, unless I want to, which isn't very often. I enjoy the money I save, the lack of headaches or sickness from being wasted and can do everything I want to and still enjoy myself, but my liver has problems at times breaking alcohol down, so it's for health reasons too, but after a while, you don't even notice you're not drinking. |

Its mainly the vibe I get from those individuals who never drink and think they are just better than u or smarter because they don't drink. There usually just stuck up and afraid to have a good time. Of course if u need alcohol to have a good time, then u may have a problem, but it enhances the times I have with friends and just makes everything more fun. I don't drink where I lose control of myself or have a complete change of personality, but it does make most people loosen up and allows them to have a better time at whatever activity they are doing. |

I'm with you.
And I use the word 'happy' here not in the emotional sense, but in being content. People who don't drink or smoke feel content with the way things are and don't need extra stimulation to satisfy themselves. Therefore, I refer to them as being happier (i.e. more content). |

| I loathe alcohol. Of all the avaible drugs, it is by far the worst high, the worst comedown and the worst hangovers. Never touch the stuff myself, for the same reason i dont drink draino or gasoline. |

| I find it interesting that alot of people on here are against most drugs in general, and prefer to be sober. Especially u guys in Europe where things are way more "laid back" or liberal as compared to America. Hell u guys get to have titties on regular public access tv shows and commercials, where over here thats the devil. Guess that proves that we would have less drug abuse if they were to ease back the law on these things like how it is elsewhere. |

thats only half the truth tho. In Denmark were people can drink legally from age 15 about half the kids dont really drink, or have the odd glass, where the other half have a reacord in drinking. These guys are on a neverending binge, which ofcourse just make the first half all the more carefull with it. Pot is illegal, 2/3 have atleast tried it. In Holland were its decriminalised (meaning, the system choses not to have an oppinion on the matter) fewer kids have tried it out. Here the next generation of politicians want to do the same thing. Enough is enough, the legal status of it only helps dangerous criminals, and nobody else.
So its not completely untrue and i personally belive that it holds true. Make it boring or have the parents do it and the kids will loathe it by nature |

Are you kidding me? It seems like 75% of TAs who post on here have either experimented/used or regularly use hard drugs other than marijuana/alcohol. Look at the Crackhead thread for one small example. |

Now that's ftwness. Sober people are only better at being more complacent. And honestly, what's the point in going to such an extreme to keep your body healthy? To live longer? You do realize that the chances of living to a ripe old age is extremely against your favor? You could be hit by a car, shot by a criminal, suffer a slow, excruciating death by cancer? And then what? All that careful eating and exercising gone right down the drain. I say it and live a little. Because you never know when it's your time. For me, after a long 8 hour shift of work, nothing's better than coming home, drinking a glass of wine, a shot of vodka and a fat ass bowl of some danky ass sativa. Of course, I still need to find that full time job... |
